The Spectre x360 14 has the same keyboard as all modern Spectres, and it’s my personal favorite among Windows 10 laptops. That latter dimension is based on the HP’s slightly larger (13.5 inches versus 13.4 inches) and taller (3:2 versus 16:10) display. It’s essentially equally as wide as the Spectre x360 14 (11.64 inches versus 11.75 inches), but it’s almost an inch less deep (7.82 inches versus 8.67 inches).
In terms of size, the XPS 13 is the smaller laptop by a fair margin. Neither laptop fades away into the background, and whether you prefer one or the other will depend entirely on your taste - and how much attention you want to draw. Both come in a variety of colors for some customization. The XPS 13, on the other hand, wants to catch your eye and impress you with its streamlined design. The Spectre wants to not only stand out in a crowd, but it also wants to be the center of attention with its gem-cut design and brightly colored accents (the color depends on the model). The convertible 2-in-1 Spectre x360 14 and clamshell XPS 13 couldn’t be more different in their aesthetic approaches. Comparing them makes sense beyond just their displays, though - if you’re looking for a 13-inch laptop, then these two machines should be at the top of your list. They also both now use a 16:10 aspect ratio, making for a similarly shaped design.
